This position requires a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business, social science, or another relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training. Candidates should have twelve to fifteen years of experience in law enforcement, including at least five years in management roles. Additional leadership education, such as the FBI National Academy, PERF's Senior Management Institute for Police, or the Southern Police Institute, is highly desirable.
The salary range is $155,500 to $165,000. The salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s experience. The city offers an excellent benefits package, including disability protection.
